The representative of Turkey has left the conference where there were Armenians

In the city of Lviv, Ukraine, on December 13-14, a conference dedicated to the 90th birth anniversary of the famous scientist Jaroslav Dashkevich was held which was attended by Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan, the first Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia Alexander Bozhko, the leader of the Ukrainian Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Armenologists Claude Moutafian and Patrick Donabedian from France, a large group of scientists from Armenia headed by Professor Levon Chookaszian, Ukrainian experts specialized in Armenian studies: Irina Gayuk, Samvel Azizyan, Karine Pivavarskaya and others.  Mr. Chookaszian made his speech in English.  The official languages of the conference were Ukrainian, English and Armenian.  Earlier, it was planned that Turkish should be one of the official languages.

According to Vladimir Melnik, the Rector of the Lviv State University, after the welcoming speech the floor was given to Andranik Manukyan and later to the leader of the Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and when the floor was given to the Turkish representative, the latter has made his speech which as conveyed by the source even the interpreter did not want to translate.  The Turkish representative has left the room with his two compatriots.  “Marmara” also addressed the incident.  “Then, the floor was given to the Turkish delegation whose members have made some investment and would seek to be established in the scientific atmosphere of the city of Livov.  But the Turkish delegation made a tough speech, saying that they refuse to take part in the conference (they were 32 people) which is attended by the Armenian Ambassador, Armenian and Jewish clergymen.  The Turkish delegates publicly left the hall which was packed with scientists of different nations,” reads the newspaper.
