On December 23, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, received the delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, headed by Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and Links with Compatriots. Artak Zakaryan, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, participated in the meeting.
Minister Nalbandian underlined the importance of continuous strengthening of the close partnership established in different formats between Armenia and Russia and appreciated in this regard the interparliamentary cooperation.
The deputies of the State Duma emphasized that their visit is symbolic, as this is the Committee’s first foreign visit after the parliamentary elections in Russia.
Both sides stressed the mutually beneficial cooperation that exists between the National Assembly of Armenia and the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
