The names of the new chess champions in Armenian Men’s and Women’s Championships will be revealed on 21 January.
The 77th Men’s and 72th Women’s Armenian Chess Championships kick off in the Tigran Petrosian Chess House on 11 January. The first round of the tournament begins at 15:00 12 January.
Armenian chess players Robert Hovhannisyan, Zaven Andriasian, Karen Grigoryan, Tigran L. Petrosyan, Hayk Martirosyan, Arman Pashikyan, Hovhannes Gabuzyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Tigran Harutyunyan and Manuel Petrosyan will compete within the 77th Armenian Men’s Chess Championship. Armine Babayan, Maria Gevorgyan, Anna Hayrapetyan, Siranush Ghukasyan, Mariam Avetisyan, Narine Gasparyan, Susanna Gaboyan Anna Sargsyan, Arpine Grigoryan and Nare Arakelyan will take part in Armenian Women’s Chess Championship. According to the chess regulation the winners of the championships will be included in the national chess team of Armenia.
