Attaching importance to the implementation of the proposed project, Prime Minister Karapetyan pointed out that Gyumri is well poised to develop inbound tourism and, in this regard, the need has arisen to develop business-minded programs like this. “We need to make Gyumri more comfortable by getting the business circles involved in this process so that they could both earn money and make the town more attractive,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Detailing the development of the program, Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan said that much work had been done by different organizations. The program will be presented soon with a view to discussing the next steps. He went on to advise that a scheduled meeting will bring together those businessmen having expressed readiness to invest in Gyumri. A special fund is going to be set up, which will focus on the rehabilitation of streets, lighting amenities and the development of infrastructures.
