Syria’s Minister of Religious Affairs Mohammed Abdul Sattar has announced about the country’s President Bashar al-Assad’s instruction to renovate all churches and mosques of the worn-torn Aleppo following the massive destructions caused by the severe war.
According to the Syrian-based Kandzasar paper, the announcement came on January 15 at a consultation held with spiritual leaders of the country’s religious groups.
“Aleppo has turned into an example of resistance and victory. The reconstruction works of the city should take the similar spirit with the strong support of the government,” the minister has noted.
