On April 2, the scheduled parliamentary elections, according to analyses of political analyst Armen Badalyan, there will be a nicknamed entrepreneurs competition. “Earlier, they were distributing money to their constituencies, now the constituencies have become larger and now one must distribute money into other’s constituency which creates a problem. Now, they will compete on this,” said the political analyst to Aravot.am, “However, the most important question is what the businessman will be doing when going to the National Assembly, he does not have the guarantee to be a minister because the Prime Minister brought other people as ministers, whether he is going for salaries, but there is an entrepreneur who receives more monthly revenues than the lawmaker, it is not the point that they are becoming a lawmaker to secure the business because right in front of our eye, at least two businesses of entrepreneurs were destroyed: one was a football ground, and the other a brewery, both were owned by lawmakers,” said the political analyst. He analyzed the campaign start of all political forces one by one.
According to him, ANC’s campaign started with the congress at the end of the year, and the Karabakh program on the basis of the campaign, “I do not agree with some of the elements that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue hinders the economic development of Armenia, yes, it hinders to some extent, but to reason the emigration by this, I do not agree because there are socio-economic conditions, after all, it is not Artsakh’s guilty that there are monopolies here and small and medium investors vanish.” Referring to “Yelk” (Exit) Alliance of “Bright Armenia”, “Republic”, “Civil Contract” parties, Mr. Badalyan began the criticism, first of all, from the name, “Incidentally, the name “Yelk” is illogical, it does not show a direction, in fact, this Alliance became a Technical Alliance.”
As for PAP, according to the political analyst, they are waiting for Gagik Tsarukyan because “PAP is another prosperous with Gagik Tsarukyan and without Gagik Tsarukyan – another prosperous. The other forces are still negotiating. This is not normal again when you must present documents on February 6 but you still are negotiating. “Heritage” is uncertain, generally speaking, one goes somewhere, the other goes to another place, one does not attend at all, the other attends separately. So happens to the party when the party leader is out of the country for months.”
Mr. Badalyan does not think that if Tsarukyan does not return to politics, former Defense Minister will be a large figure in the arena, “His factor is highly overestimated, as soon as he was dismissed from the office, he immediately wrote, I am entering the politics.
