“In order to have 40 thousand employees in the IT field by 2025, there is no need to elaborate a strategic program, normal will work too. The strategy is necessary for 70-80 thousand jobs,” said Karen Vardanyan, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology, at the “Hayeli” (Mirror) club, referring to Prime Minister’s recent meeting with the representatives of IT industry and the government’s strategic plan for this sector.
Karen Vardanyan said that their Union was not invited to the meeting with Prime Minister, “I do not know why. I hope that this will be corrected and we will participate in the discussion of the strategic plan.” In Karen Vardanyan’s words, the Union is implementing Prime Minister’s mentioned revolutionary programs now too.
