A program is broadcast on “Russia” TV channel called the “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.” When changing the channels, I stop on this political talk show for 3-4 minutes I hear dozens of ardent men who are almost shouting to express their views. In the beginning, one can assume that these people are disputing and disagree with each other on some issues. But when getting into the details of the content you understand that they agree on all issues, simply they are competing to see who will express a more solid and more decisive opinion about Syria, Ukraine, Europe and Americas and who will censure “Russia’s enemies” in more venomous words. (Opportunely, I have never heard that these people: Zhirinovsky, Bagdasarov, Markov and others have discussed Russia’s problems, perhaps everything is fine in this country and there are no problems).
And thus, against the background of this “universal condemnation”, some compliments are made to US newly elected President Donald Trump’s administration which apparently is the view of the Kremlin, accordingly the view of Russian official media. As to what these circles like in Trump, I can assume. The US President-elect is brought up badly, he disrespectful towards his opponents, he can be rude to journalists and so on. Such displays of vulgarity, indeed, is dear to today’s Russian elite.
But these are personal qualities which are not vital in a country like the United States. In North Korea and Uzbekistan, the dream that the first figure of the country sees last night, certainly, plays a great role, and it depends on the dream what policy will be carried out in this country in the next few days (weeks, months) until the next dream. In the USA, the government policy is determined by the state institutions which includes not only the executive and legislative wings but also, in particular, the expert community and the newly elected president’s disliked media.
Maybe Trump personally has a great desire to hug Putin but he has already announced that he will not lift the sanctions against Russia. The Head of the “American Rosneft” (“ExxonMobil”), Rex Tillerson, who apparently will become the US Secretary perhaps would wish to organize a joint business with Russians but he will be afraid of the investigations of the Congress with regard to conflict of interest. This is not a post-Soviet country where the ministers and lawmakers are doing a business with two hands and dealing with the state affairs with the left leg. Incidentally, the oil businessman who will rule the US diplomacy has already announced that the position of the United States on Ukraine will remain the same and particularly, has condemns the occupation of the Crimea.

Hence, the enthusiasm of Russia’s official circles is not so relevant. A half year later, the guests invited to Solovyo’s program will censure Trump in the same ardent manner.
