The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) convened an executive board meeting on Thursday where new board of the political force including 35 members was elected.
As the RPA Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters at a briefing, at the meeting Vice Presidents of the party were elected with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan to serve as the first RPA Vice President to replace former PM Hovik Abrahamyan. Mushegh Lalayan, Armen Ashotyan and Galust Sahakyan were elected as RPA Vice Presidents.
Meanwhile, the ruling party has set up a Senior Council to be chaired by the National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan.
