Armenian discusses alternative way to Lars way although Russia and Georgia not yet agreed

Minister of Transport, Communications and IT Minister, Vahan Martirosyan, today, during the press conference with the journalists after the Cabinet session, referring to Prime Minister’s assignment, said that they are are looking for alternative ways to Lars.

To the question whether the matter is about South Ossetia or Abkhazia option, Mr. Martirosyan said that it is not limited to South Ossetia and that all options should be submitted, “The assignment is issued now, we will discuss and present to the government and will report to you.  Which option receives a positive solution after the discussion, it will be the final option.  The discussions are underway for a long time but yet we have no final result to say that this is the alternative way.”  To the question of Aravot.am that former Minister of Transport and Communication, Gagik Beglaryan, used to say that first of all there should be an agreement on alternative way between Georgian and Russian authorities, so whether there is already an agreement between these two countries, Vahan Martirosyan said, “Armenia is trying to accelerate these discussions.”  Then, he added that Armenia is continuing the discussions so that Russia and Georgia will be able to arrive at an agreement with each other.
