Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies told Panorama.am that as of 09:30 January 30, Vardenyats Pass is closed due to a snowstorm.
According to the source, clear ice is observed on the roads of Artik, Aragats, Aparan, Lori, Akhuryan, Martuni, Noyemberyan regions, while Voskepar – Kirants roads is difficult to pass for trucks.
The road crews maintain all-day control over all the interstate and republican highways of Armenia and carry out cleaning works with chemical salt and sand. All other interstate and republican roads of the country are open for the traffic.
