The official visit of the Armenian parliament delegation to Japan is the beginning of the deepening of Armenian-Japanese relations at the parliamentary level which occupies a special place in the development of diplomatic relations, Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives of National Diet of Japan Tadamori Oshima stated, while receiving the Armenian delegation headed by National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan.
“The development of relations with Japan occupies an important place in Armenia’s foreign agenda. It is noteworthy that the official visit of the parliamentary delegation is made on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia, japan,” NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan has noted at the meeting.
As the press department at the National Assembly reports, the interlocutors have discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the issue of the Armenian Genocide, highlighting the peaceful settlement of the conflicts and the condemnation of the past crimes to prevent them in the future.
Expressing condolences for the Armenian soldiers who fell during the April War, the Speaker of the Japanese House of representatives has stressed that Japan continues supporting the OSCE Minsk Group work and sees the Karabakh conflict settlement through exclusively peaceful means.
