Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies told Panorama.am that as of 15:00 February 1, snowfalls are reported across the highways of Armenia’s Ararat and Armavir regions.
Vardenyats Pass is difficult to pass due to blizzards and low visibility.
The road crews maintain all-day control over all the highways of the republic, carrying out cleaning works with chemical salt and sand.
All other interstate and republican roads of the country are open for traffic.
The ministry recommends the drivers to drive exclusively on winter tires to avoid accidents and traffic jam.
