Օn February 2, Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Sarah Swinford, Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK, accompanied by Judith Farnworth, Ambassador of the UK in Armenia.
During the meeting the sides discussed steps aimed at intensifying political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, cultural exchanges. The interlocutors highlighted the importance of cooperation of Armenia and the United Kingdom within international organizations.
The Deputy Minister briefed the guest on the process of negotiations over the new framework agreement between Armenia and the European Union, as well as on the directions of sectoral cooperation. Upon request from the British side, Garen Nazaryan presented the essence of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the current developments around the peace process.
