On February 7, joint session of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Foreign Relations Committee of the Riksdag /the Parliament/ of the Kingdom of Sweden dedicated to the Armenia-Sweden bilateral relations and the Armenia-EU cooperation was held at the National Assembly.
Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister, took part and delivered a speech during the discussions, touching upon the perspectives of development of the Armenia-EU relations, and, in particular, the process of ongoing negotiations on the new framework agreement. He spoke about political, economic and sectoral dialogue and the enhanced cooperation with the EU bodies.
During the discussions, Garen Nazarian answered to the series of questions, that the Swedish parliamentarians were interested in and related to regional issues, in particular, the process of resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the continuing policy by Turkey and Azerbaijan aimed at blockading Armenia, the Syrian crisis and the resulting flux of refugees to Armenia.
