On February 28, current year, at 10:17 local time, (at 06:17 by Grinvich), the RA MES Seismic Protection Survey Seismological Network registered an earthquake at the northern latitude 39.240 and eastern longitude 46.380 geographic coordinates (Armenia, 5 km eastwest from the town of Kapan), with 3.9 magnitude and 10 km depth.
The tremor measured magnitude 5 points at the epicenter area.
The quake was felt in Kapan 5 points, in the towns of Goris and Kajaran with 4-5 points.
A magnitude 3.3 aftershock followed the quake.
