“Elections are important for us not only by their results. RPA also wants to win but prior to it, the quality of elections is important. The current legislation enables to also compete in the constituency under the roof of the same party. This competition is legal with its wording and ideology,” said RPA Vice-President Armen Ashotyan during the press conference at the “Sputnik Armenia” press center referring to the information that disputes are going on between the candidates of RPA rating list included in the same constituency.
As he described, in some cases, the competition turns into a fight beyond the political dimensions, “On Saturday, during the meeting, the President of the country emphasized the imperative of the political struggle being a civilized.” According to Armen Ashotyan, individual incidents cannot be decisive.
