“Whatever the US ambassador or another one says or not, one thing I consider acceptable, is that it is primarily necessary for our people for the elections to go well,” said the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan to the journalists in the National Assembly, referring to the call of US Ambassador to the political parties of Armenia which are trying to buy the votes. Note, that the ambassador called on to stop it as it is illegal.
NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan assures that at this point no electoral bribe is distributed. “Apparently, the people who are going to be elected meet people and promise different things, however, at this point, no one can give an electoral bribe as the campaign has not even started, everything should be done to avoid such things,” said the NA Speaker.
According to Galust Sahakyan, both the government and the opposition are sure that “no failed decision will be made on the day of elections.” Referring to the incidents of March 1, 2008, the NA Speaker said that numerous investigative groups have worked and actually have not revealed who had committed the murders. “I think, the case is not closed,” he said.
