“I am convinced that peace can be achieved between the two people (referring to Artsakh and Azerbaijani people). There is no alternative to it,” President of Artsakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan noted in an interview with Gazeta.ru Russian news agency in response to the question whether he believes peace can be achieved between Armenian and Azeri people.
“We do not make aggressive, chauvinist and nationalist announcements. We do not run such a policy,” Artsakh President said.
He noted that unfortunately the official Baku does the opposite.
“It is the unconstructive position of the Azerbaijani authorities that stands as an only obstacle to a comprehensive normalization of Karabakh-Azerbaijan relations,” he said.
