The “Tsarukyan” alliance does not and has never found it appropriate, and in the past, in 2012, it did not agree to coalition governance and is not planning to,” announced the leader of the “Alliance” party, Tigran Urikhanyan, at the “Pastark” club. According to him, the leader of the alliance, Gagik Tsarukyan, used to speak about it during the election campaign meetings, “There can be no coalition if it were it would have been in 2012. We are going to win the majority if not then we can discuss only the forms of separate governance,” added Mr. Urikhanyan, stressing that the partial governance can be separate with new constitutional regulation, and it is a matter of discussion.
To the question about the possible merging with the opposition, Mr. Urikhanyan replied that he has always said that they are ready to cooperate with the forces implementing a true alternative course to the political majority. The candidate for the parliament spoke about all possible methods of influence on the elections. According to him, administrative leverage, financial impact, making lists of electoral bribes, voters’ re-registration and so on are applied.
To the observation of Aravot.am that there is an alarm that the “Tsarukyan” alliance is also making voters’ list and encouraging with money, Mr. Urikhanyan replied, “Are there facts? You can submit them to relevant authorities. It might happen that these people are working and it is objective that they get a salary. It is normal. I am sure that the law enforcements would not leave any violation unanswered.”
Tigran Urikhanyan is a member of the Parliament. He was a member of Prosperous Armenia Party, but after its leader Gagik Tsarukyan left the party he followed him and founded a new party alliance. In 2017 when Tsarukyan announced that he is returning to politics Tigran Urikhanyan joined “Tsarukyan” alliance.
