The campaign of the “Congress-PPA” alliance kicked off from the electoral headquarters office in Arabkir administrative district. The “Congress-PPA” candidates and activists discussed the organizational matters and then distributed the citizens the campaign leaflets and copies of the brief description of the election program.
The Alliance candidate for the parliament, Vice-President of the ANC, Aram Manukyan, in an interview with the journalists addressed the question of why there is not much crowd gathered in the campaign meetings of the alliance. He said that the reason is the fear of the citizens supporting the alliance, they are afraid of appearing in the footages of the media.
“They are threatened to be dismissed from work, the son is in the army, the wife is a teacher, the loan is not repaid … The government intimidates, the village elder, the village mayor, district governor or “dogged” candidates who have money but no brains, nor things to say or a program,” noted Aram Manukyan. He also mentioned that the “peace program” for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict proposed by the alliance is gradually spreading across the society.
