“We are convinced that the government setting forth the problem for the last 10-15 years to make our society impersonal reached its goal,” said the ANC member, a candidate of the “Congress-PPA” Alliance running for the member of the parliament, Vahagn Khachatryan, during the meeting with journalists at the “Pastark” press club on March 17.
He noted that the election campaign program of the ruling Republican Party does not contain any numerical program pledge about how Armenia will be, let’s say, a few years later, “The focal point of our strategy was that during the election campaign, we accept the political forces that act from opposition positions as an opponent but never to criticize them. In other words, we have nothing to say to them, our main message and emphasis are directed at the political forces forming a part of the power and the government for eventually, they are the responsible for today’s created situation.”
Vahagn Khachatryan noted that the voter has a problem of orientation as there are political parties which have acted from the ruling positions after the extreme opposition and vice versa, “Our task is also to try to inspire faith in people when introducing the program to them that we are not the force to step back from our positions. We are the force that has always followed the principles, it has been always important for us to act from ideological positions rather than offer resolutions for the solution of the problem based on the today’s situation which could be pleasant to the ears of the people but in reality, they are unrealistic.”
