In the framework of his official visit to the Russian Federation, President Serzh Sargsyan met today with the Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.
At the private meeting, the President of Armenia and Prime Minister of Russia discussed cooperation of the two strategic partners in all areas, recapped the results of the works conducted so far, and spoke about the possibilities for the expansion of the trade and economic relations. Along with the bilateral Armenian-Russian relations, Serzh Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev discussed also issues pertinent to the utilization of the mechanisms aimed at efficient cooperation in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. The President of Armenia and Prime Minister of Russia exchanged views on the development of cooperation of the EAEU with third countries and steps taken by the RA and RF on that direction. Among other pivotal topics, President Sargsyan and Prime Minister Medvedev discussed also issues related to the diversification of the lines of communication between Armenia and Russia.
