Polyclinic doctor gripes Prime Minister about social package and meager wages

March 26,2017 06:26

During the RPA campaign in the Davitashen administrative district, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan answered the questions of the residents.  Lilit Achemyan, the doctor of No. 20 polyclinic, asked the Prime Minister, “Do you know that the average salary of the polyclinic doctors is about AMD 50-60 thousand?

Why are we not included in the social package being such a needy class?  At the moment when the doctor himself becomes a patient, he appears in a disgraceful situation.  On the one hand, either he should write a pitiful request letter to his Minister, and he in his turn will decide whether to grant this doctor a state-paid treatment or not, on the other hand, if we go to the banks, seeing our meager salaries, as a rule, they refuse us.”

Karen Karapetyan calmed them down saying that the same situation exists not only with the policlinics but also with the preschool institutions and art schoolteachers, “The kindergarten teacher says, why I do not have a social package, the school teacher has, am I a teacher or not?  The explanation is one, having limited resources, it was decided that we can do this much.  We must work to be able to have money.”  The Prime Minister said that they will try to eliminate the illogical inequality.
