The parliamentary candidates of the “Armenian Renaissance” (ARP) party were holding a campaign meeting in the Shengavit administrative district. The candidate for the parliament nominated for this administrative district, Heghine Bisharyan, said that there is a tradition in this neighborhood that they always had their electorates, supporters and victory, “We want to be the owners of this tradition and make a success in these elections. Shengavit should become the subject of serious attention because there is perhaps no community in Yerevan that is in such a hard social situation as Shengavit community.”
Mrs. Bisharyan did not evade the topic of distributing electoral bribes and condemned every Shengavit community resident who will take this money, “I condemn the citizen who will sell his future. I will bow before the ones who have principles and value their own vote. Know that our vote has been and will be in the Parliament, we have always talked and will talk about Shengavit.”
The ARP leader Arthur Baghdasaryan said that a massive listing is going on in the Shengavit administrative district, “I am urging to take the money but not to give their vote, I am addressing the whole Armenian nations, if someone decides to buy, twenty million dollars is necessary, today one vote is worth ten thousand drams, I condemn this approach. 52 million dollars per year has been collected only from the speed recording camera shots, if they list everyone, 20 million dollars is required, so go and think about it. Think because it is condemnable that people nowadays are living in the capital in barracks where there is no toilet, where a house uses one toilet. Yesterday, I was in Martuni, they are listing everyone, the central street in Martuni is in ruins, I am saying, bring this money, but the people are treated like this water bottle: drink the water and throw the bottle away. I am sure that people do not want to live a life that they are living.
