“There is one problem for Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his team that they want to prove that they were right in the ‘90s,” said the Executive Director of the “Against Violation of Law” NGO, Larisa Alaverdyan, in the meeting with the journalists at the “Sputnik Armenia” press club on March 28.
She reminded about Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s interview published in “Komsomolskaya Pravda” on March 5, 1992, “It was clearly said, yes, we agree that the Nagorno-Karabakh remains as a part of Azerbaijan, with the status of high autonomy. It is written in black and white. In fact, this motto or approach has not been changed since then.”
Larisa Alaverdyan noted that a geopolitical situation has been changed since 1992 but the political force which initially had adopted a wrong approach, years after, is trying to prove that they were right the then, “The society is facing a huge danger for it can cause a split among the people. This Alliance is acting as the leading force of the split.”
