The member of “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanyan” alliance, Vartan Oskanian no how succeeded in leaving his fingerprint in the scanner in 9/59 voting station. The little finger was the last hope, but the scanner couldn’t take the fingerprint. Nevertheless, the candidate was allowed to vote.
Unlike Oskanian, when the scanner didn’t read an elderly woman’s fingerprint, the latter complained as to “what trashy equipments have you brought?!”.
To our question implying that ORO alliance has registered complaints that red pens, threads are being distributed, they want to control the voters, whether these can have an impact on the results of the elections and whether there’s any concern, Vartan Oskanian replied: “Let’s see what will happen in the course of the day.
The alarms are many in the beginning, I believe, let’s see what will happen during the day”. The fact that the scanner didn’t read his fingerprint didn’t seem that concerning to Oskanian: “There’s no fingerprint database, the sole opportunity that the equipment gives is preventing the same people from voting in the same place. Perhaps, this is the meaning of the fingerprint in these elections, let’s get it straight. This can be benevolent for the next elections”.

To our interest in whether there were any other serious alarms except for distributing threads and red pens, he replied that he hadn’t yet gone to the centre and isn’t aware: “I hope there’ll be normal elections, no one needs an election, the results of which the society will doubt, it won’t lead to anything good. I’m hopeful that the authorities will come to their senses, indeed”.
Vartan Oskanian told that from seeing the distribution of money, pens he infers that probably the authorities do the same as in the previous elections. Vartan Oskanian reflected that we’ve heard this for manifold times. And what we may presume from that “but…”, he told that we should ask Mr. Gasparyan. Vartan Oskanian told that he has voted in favour of change of the government: “country with these authorities cannot have a future”.
