“In the case of the two forces, I can say that ARF and “Yelq” bloc worked. The latter, particularly due to his endeavors, received people’s fair votes. ARF also worked well. But I’ll doubt to say they’ve received fair votes”, told Yerevan City Council member Gagik Baghdasaryan, who had been nominated by “Free Democrats” party as MP candidate, referring to the NA election results during the conversation with Aravot.am.
He’s confident that the votes given to “Free Democrats” and “Yelq” are fair. Pursuant to Baghdasaryan’s assessment, it is “Yelq” exactly from the four forces entering NA – RPA, ARF, “Tsarukyan” alliance and “Yelq” – who gained their votes with dignity. We got interested in why FDP didn’t pass, according to his viewpoint. “The elector didn’t believe in our honesty. We didn’t do what the elector expected to see in us and which “Yelq” did. If our elections looked like elections even a bit, i.e. there was a will registry, “Yelq” would have at least 25-30% votes and “Free Democrats” – about 15%. And 99% have implemented a “business plan”, which I consider to be an election corruption… this is a usurpation of power.” Addressing “Armenian Renaissance” party, our interlocutor, who is “Orinats Yerkir” fraction former MP, noted: “People were disappointed and disguised from “Orinats Yerkir” and “Renaissance”. However, if the elections were conducted within the frameworks of law, “Renaissance” would receive votes as well. The latter has tried to buy the votes, bribe with jams, etc…”. By the way, we succeeded to have a phone conversation only with the candidates of “Free Democrats” from the political forces who failed passing NA elections. The figures of other forces either reject to talk or ignore calls for a long while already.
