RPA member Sukias Avetisyan has been involved in the proportional party-list in the 171st place. He has been nominated via ranked by RPA in Shirak province, polling station N. 11. In this polling station, Arman Sahakyan and Felix Tsolakyan have won from RPA. And if the latter declines the mandate, the next nominee to have won the most votes is Martun Grigoryan. Consequently, it’s already fixed that Sukias Avetisyan won’t be in parliament as well. Sukias Avetisyan noted during the conversation with Aravot.am, that he’s accepted the number of votes he gained and the fact that he won’t become an MP. To the question whether he has accepted the fact, he answered: “Is there anything not to accept?” We got interested in whether this was one of the shortcomings of the ranked electoral system advocated and accepted by the former MP himself, that an MP who works well throughout the whole year can face such a competition within the party that s/he won’t be elected, Sukias Avetisyan answered: “I wouldn’t say it’s one of the shortcomings of the system, as they could involve in proportional party-list. But now it’s not compulsory for us to always be an MP”. To the question whether he waited for such a result, he told that it was a surprise to him: “It’s natural, that I wouldn’t expect such a result.” To what he was going to engage himself in hereafter, the former MP answered: “In this open world one can do whatever comes to his mind. Why shouldn’t I have a job? Am I not good enough?” To the question whether he has received a suggestion to take a new position, he replied: “No, there’s neither a suggestion nor a plan.”
