Addressing the various reviews by journalists on the low percentage of the opposition’s votes, the speaker noted: “In falsified elections, it’s wrong to speak of the few.” The member of “United Armenia” initiative Azat Arshakyan noticed that there were different reasons grounding the opposition’s defeat. Let’s recall that the initiative supported “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” alliance. According to him, only “Yelq” succeeded to play by the rules of the game. “An ideology – to expel the authorities, was hanging in the air. If they haven’t done it, it’s not a victory, let’s not lie to ourselves. If the Armenian National Congress passed, ORO passed as well, if they had that 50% of the votes altogether, then it would be a defeat again, and our people faced an overwhelming defeat”, told Paruyr Hayrikyan adding that the Union for National Self-Determination has sent two letters to “Yelq”: “Thay haven’t even shown an elementary decency to respond.”
