 ‘Is it worth going to the elections with this electorate once again?’ Zoya Tadevosyan on ANC participation in Council of Elders elections

“Yelq” bloc has commenced negotiations to partake in forthcoming elections of Council of Elders. During the conversation bloc’s representative Edmon Marukyan did not wish to give names of those who they negotiated with, he told that the list was not ready yet and if they found it appropriate they would certainly publicize the names of those who they negotiated with: “At the moment there are no candidates to be suggested and accepted, except for Anahit Bakhshyan.”

“Armenian Renaissance” party discusses the issue whether to participate or not to participate as well, party’s speaker Edgar Arakelyan told that there was no decision, it would be clear in the forthcoming days.

The issue of “Ohanyan – Raffi – Oskanian” alliance’s participation in the elections of the Council of Elders of Yerevan is in the phase of discussion as well. The pre-election chief of staff of the alliance, the vice-president of “Heritage” party Armen Martirosyan announced during the meeting with journalists. There are no discussions commenced in ANC on this issue, probably, told Zoya Tadevosyan from the party during the conversation: “We have not done anything yet, session is to be invited to discuss, no decision has been made.” To our question whether it is worth partaking or not according to her viewpoint, Ms. Tadevosyan replied: “Is it worth going to the elections with this electorate once again? If there is a candidate to distribute money, then we will have the same picture, how long should we lie to ourselves, now?” Let us remind you that the elections of the Council of Elders of Yerevan will take place on May 14. The application deadline expires on April 9.
