“Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” alliance or the part of the mentioned alliance – “Heritage” party will not participate in the forthcoming elections of the Council of Elders: “No, inasmuch as one day is left and we have not made any discussions yet, it means we will not participate. If we participated we would have a list now. It is not a financial matter but in the presence of vote-buying there is no election, this time we will not take part in this farce until we see what events will come forth and what we will partake in. This was not an election but an attempt of legitimization of state revolution”, told “Heritage” board member Susanna Muradyan to Aravot.am. The representative of ORO alliance has appealed to Central Electoral Committee demanding to comprise all fingerprints in a common database and conduct a comparative analysis to clarify whether there is a fingerprint match or not. We asked Ms. Muradyan whether ORO representatives had solely registered suspicions as Committee members and whether they could give us facts.
“The fact is that merely the number of voters generates not suspicions but a conviction implying that these many people could not take part in the elections and it is not enough that they had participated, so many people had given their votes to the party which swears day and night”, told Ms. Muradyan. To our question as how it happened that 30.000 local and international observers did not have any suspicions on “double voting” or did not register violations giving place to suchlike suspicions but ORO’s representatives suspect, our interlocutor replied: “How could the observers register at the moment when there were people who were asked of their addresses and did not have a clue. Probably there were cases of newly printed passports and new addresses with not-existing people during the elections. I am sure that there has been not as much bribery as the numbers drawn. We will be consistent and unclose the mechanisms by which the aforementioned has been implemented.”
To our question why the application addressed to the CEC president encompassed exclusively suspicions and not facts Ms. Muradyan replied: “There are also facts confirming double-voting but we examine those facts massively, we need time to find out address by address whether they and the residents exist, which we highly doubt. I am sure we will disclose the secret.”
