If ANC-PPA alliance does not apply

April 11,2017 08:28

The newly elected National Assembly will commence its activities since April 27 if ANC-PPA alliance does not apply to the Constitutional Court on the election results, reported RA National Assembly Chief of Staff Hrayr Tovmasyan during the interview in the parliament. Let us remind you that the alliance has already made an announcement on the election results appeal.

“During the first session of the new parliament, the number of permanent commissions of the NA will be decided. According to the Constitution, they cannot exceed 12. We have had both 6 and 12 commissions but I think that 8-10 commissions are optimal. I can confidently assure that their number will be reduced”, told Hrayr Tovmasyan answering Aravot.am’s question. Presumptively the Commission on European Integration Issues and the Commission of Human Rights Defense and Permanent Commission of Public Issues will be reduced. “The government will put its liabilities down. After that new PM will be appointed within 10 days, a government will be formed in 20 days. During 20 days the government will represent its project to the National Assembly which will be discussed by the parliament under an extraordinary regime in 5-day term”, Hrayr Tovmasyan gave further details on the procedure.
