The spokesperson of “Yelq” bloc Tigran Avinyan alluded to the comments made by the founder of “Yerkir Tsirani” party, a candidate of Yerevan mayor Zaruhi Postanjyan on why she had declined “Yelq’s” propositions during the press conference.
“We had made three propositions to Zaruhi Postanjyan to top “Yelq’s” list during Yerevan City Council elections, to unite with “Yerkir Tsirani” and top the total list or the list to be led by Nikol Pashinyan…we have received a decline, therefore we move on chasing our plan”, specified Tigran Avinyan.
As far as Zaruhi Postanjyan’s label is concerned implying that “Yelq” is an artificial bloc, Tigran Avinyan stated: “Our bloc has been created on an ideological basis fixing in the memorandum that a committee will be formed further on the issue of the unification of the three parties making the part of the bloc. If this does not inspire Ms. Postanjyan confidence then I do not have anything to add.” To the viewpoint as according to Zaruhi Postanjyan “Yelq” has not made an official proposition to her, Avinyan counteracted saying they have: “Not once it has been made.”
