‘If that march had peaceful significance, it would not be held in the dark and narrow streets, with calls to join armed group”: Ombudsman

Human Rights Defender  of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan said that he was going to make an announcement on a comprehensive report on occupation of Yerevan police station.

He also expressed his opinion on March of July 29: “I think that going through the dark streets of Sari Tagh and calling to join the armed group cannot be a gathering with a peaceful intention. If that march had a peaceful goal, it would not be held at night in the dark and narrow streets of Sari Tagh without prior announcement,” he said.

Arman Tatoyan said maps of violations committed by the police against the protesters were made: “The rights of demonstrators were violated, and the application of specific measures was implemented illegally.”
