April 14,2017 02:36

“Crashes are rare cases. We had crashes only of one percent”, said the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan, answering to the question that what is being done to prevent disruptions of the fingerprint scanners during the municipal elections of Yerevan.

According to him, in Parliamentary elections the technical innovations fully served their purpose. “As more than 4000 devices are used at the same time, of course, crashes are possible, we should take it easy.”

The CEC Chairman noted that they still have time to study the technical issues. We also wondered, what Mr. Mukuchyan thought about the debates on Yerevan mayor’s to be or not to be from Yerevan. Tigran Mukuchyan did not express his opinion, saying that the CEC is an apolitical institution. Let us remind you, that the elections of Yerevan mayor will be held on May 14. According to CEC Chairman, after these elections the signed lists of the voters will be announced as well.
