“A given process which is illegitimate, is condemnable”, told the vice president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the spokesman of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov referring to the meeting invited by the owner of “SAS Group” corporation, RPA Board member Artak Sargsyan. The meeting has been held in pre-electoral period. The records reveal that Artak Sargsyan makes his employees bring votes to him, otherwise threatens to fire them.
To the question whether all this is done within the scopes of law or not, Eduard Sharmazanov replies: “That is why Central Electoral Committee, respective law enforcement bodies exist. They should decide whether it is law violation or not. I am not a lawyer, I cannot say. Not only in this case, but generally, if there is no issue with regard to law – it is a natural process, if it will be proven that any process is under violation of law, assuredly, it is not normal.”
