A representative of “Yelq” bloc, a deputy candidate proposed in N. 2 electoral district covering the districts of Arabkir, Ajapnyak and Davtashen in Yerevan, Vahagn Hovakimyan told d Aravot.am that the recording is a base for Artak Sargsyan to give up his mandate.
We are referring to the recording taken during the staff gathering of “SAS” corporation spread out in media. The gathering was held prior to the elections. The recording makes clear that the employees are forced to secure votes for the owner of the corporation Artak Sargsyan who was proposed in the ranked list of the Republican Party of Armenia. Otherwise, they are even threatened to be fired. In the electoral district N. 2 covering the districts of Arabkir, Ajapnyak, and Davtashen in Yerevan, Albert Yeritsyan, the head of Ajapnyak district Artavazd Sargsyan, the head of Arabkir district Hovhannes Vardanyan, prefect’s son-in-law, a parliamentary deputy Artur Gevorgyan, the head of the State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan were also proposed in the ranked list of the RPA. Opponents of the Republicans were Vahagn Hovakimyan from “Yelq” bloc, Aram Manukyan from “Congress-PPA”, Tigran Urikhanyan from “Tsarukyan” alliance, and others.
“This evidence is a base to take proceedings against the criminals, to investigate and find out the criminals. The crime perpetrators need to be found out and accordingly the person for whom it was done must be revealed. In other words, the candidate for whom the crime was done”, said Vahagn Hovakimyan.
According to the Armenian legislation, a person convicted by a final judgment of the court shall be deprived of his mandate. “In this case, it is advisable to act that way, so it will also be a lesson for everyone”, said Vahagn Hovakimyan, noticing that the role of political forces and the public will be to raise such a wave of discontent and protest that will not allow to conceal the issue. Vahagn Hovakimyan says, that “Yelq” bloc will pursue the investigation of the issue and the punishment of the criminals. The governmental bodies – the Prosecutor’s Office and the Investigative Committee have not responded yet.
