The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia Arman Navasardyan is confident that the sustainability of Russian-Turkish relations emanates from RA’s interests and does not share the opinion as we should be glad by the degradation of these relations.
“If Russian-Turkish relations worsen, Azerbaijan will win from it”, he opined, talking about the foreign policy of Turkey having made Constitutional Reforms. As to what extent the Issue of Artsakh conflict depends on Russian-Turkish relations, the diplomat thinks: “Russia does not want the commencement of military actions… there is no “Lavrov’s Plan”, Artsakh issue is in the Gordian’s knot. Why should Russia want Artsakh issue to be solved not in favor of Artsakh, as Turkey wishes?”
We noticed that Lavrov has recently told that the sides have made certain agreements and afterward asked around what they negotiate, then. Arman Navasardyan replied: “Around particular territories and status. RA will never let NKR issue hang in the air if the lands issue is to be settled. But Azerbaijan in its turn says that the issue of status will not work.”
