‘Putin – only force blocking Erdogan’s power increase in Syria’: Arman Navasardyan

April 20,2017 05:32

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia Arman Navasardyan believes that the Referendum on Constitutional Reforms recently taken place in Turkey is a breakthrough for country’s domestic and foreign policy.

“It seems that Russia looked at those reforms through fingers, though the current situation in Syria depicts the difficulties present in Russian-Turkish relations”, told Arman Navasardyan. As he stated, the leader of new Turkey – Erdogan, may perhaps take braver actions and conduct a rough policy in Syria: “The only force to block his power increase in Syria – is Putin.”

Arman Navasardyan also noted that if the death penalty is adopted by law, Turkey’s path to Europe will close. Another speaker on the current topic, human rights activist Larisa Alaverdyan noted: “For a long while Europe has been endeavoring to cooperate with Turkey, but the latter will use Europe for its distant goals.”
