‘Neither Zaruhi is capable of such strategic perceptivity, nor Nikol Pashinyan’: Hayrikyan

April 21,2017 08:31

The leader of the “Union of National Self-Determination” Paruyr Hayrikyan is not interested in the forthcoming elections of the City Council. By his conviction, the issues standing before the Armenian people are so manifold that Yerevan City Elections are of a minor relevance.

Paruyr Hayrikyan told that UNSD would participate in the elections in one case solely: “If several forces united, we would support those forces under a single flag, which regard the City Council elections as a preliminary step to further great changes. But if Nikol Pashinyan does not find strength in his inner self, then regardless of it, you have to nominate yourself or not. If he declared that we are nominated, but call on everyone to vote in favor of Zaruhi Postanjyan forasmuch as it is not the question of becoming community leader, but it is the biggest community by which we commence the procedure of serious transformations, it is natural we would say without bringing forth requirements that we join, we make it the stronghold of RA democracy, but  there is no such a thing: neither Zaruhi is capable of such strategic perceptivity, nor Nikol Pashinyan, inasmuch as they spoke but were not able to convert their words into actions.”

According to Paruyr Hayrikyan, they are merely interested in the issue of the Constitution in this phase and they will initiate certain judicial proceedings on the irrelevance of the Electoral Code and the Constitution in the near future.
