“I want to continue serving my country in the position of the Minister of Defense very much. I think my party, the Republican Party of Armenia will let me do it”, told Vigen Sargsyan, referring to the question of his future position in the newly formed government context.
“The Ministry of Defense is the place where, I think, I can be useful. If I succeed, I will be one of the happiest citizens of our country”, noted the minister. Let us remind you that rumors circulate through the media implying that Vigen Sargsyan will perhaps be appointed as the president of the National Assembly.
He also answered the question in what position Serzh Sargsyan sees him in 2018: “If we do not speak of it, then there is no decision subject to publicization.”
By the way, the Deputy Ministers of Defense Artak Davtyan and Artak Zakaryan were present as well. Their appointment will take place at the expiration of parliamentary liabilities, and before that, according to the minister, they are already actively involved in the operations of the Ministry of Defense.
