The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) hosted the King of Spain Felipe VI during the Spring session of the Assembly. Media from dozens of countries were present in PACE. PACE President Pedro Agramunt visited the Assembly as well: he had not been seen in the PACE building for the whole previous day.
The parliamentarians wait for his resignation hour by hour. Before the King’s visit, Agramunt was moving around the foyer of the session hall, trying to interact with the delegates, but was not receiving a warm welcome.
PACE political factions are confident that Agramunt will resign after the visit of the King of Spain during the last day of the PACE Spring session. According to the rumors circulating within the PACE, he has agreed upon his resignation during the conversation with the leaders of the political factions solely after receiving the King of Spain.
Let us note that after the King entered the PACE building, the Security Service of the King of Spain commenced to give indications to the journalists – invited to another side, and giving questions was forbidden at all, inasmuch as they did not allow to approach the King, merely to take a photograph and to record a video .
