The Congress-PPA alliance’s representatives were not present at the declaration of the decision of the Constitutional Court. The president of the Central Electoral Committee Tigran Mukuchyan addressed that boycott: “Pursuant to elementary norms of ethics, you should show a proper respect to the court you apply to.”
The decision of the Constitutional Court was expected to Mukuchyan. According to him, who has followed the procedure of the hearings, will not doubt that decision: “The investigation of the case illustrated fully both the lack of legal substantiation of the applicant and the shortage of the factual grounds.”
We noted that Gagik Harutyunyan had cited the assessments of the observers of the European Union, made “political corruption” expression and then asked Mr. Mukuchyan whether he had certain things to do. Tigran Mukuchyan replied that all legal positions, the suggestions represented within the reports by international organizations expressed in the decision definitely become a subject of examination and dispute.
The decision of the Constitutional Court comprised a reference to the campaign of state officials that should form a vacation, resign, not to propagate during working hours. To this, the CEC president referred saying that the mentioned issue exceeds the frames of the domain, but the Electoral Code has sufficient legal regulations.
