Edmon Marukyan: “If they were not “Idlers” we would not be in this situation”

May 01,2017 16:34

“They try to lower the level of the city’s elections to the one dealing with condominiums’ district problems”, said NP deputy Edmon Marukyan during the rally of the “Yelq” bloc in Shengavit district on April 30. Marukyan referred to the Yerevan City Council member Levon Igityan’s statement in his speech, “During the hard days in March Nikol Pashinyan was screaming from the roofs of buses and trolleybuses “Break! Crush! Burn!” Any “idler” is in politics now. And Taron Margaryan loves to work, he works.”

“Some people, whom I do not want to call by names, make speeches at the Republican Party’s and Taron Margaryan’s campaign, where they are trying to make a variety of compromising. Two “idlers” act against us who are trying to hit the interests of the other two powers who want to take part in the elections. I must say that there are people who do not deal with anything so long that they know what it means to be an “idler”, and without being engaged in anything they try to measure others’ corn by their own bushel, deprived of any political values.

Moreover, possessing no intellectual values, or seeming as an intellectual, or even pretending to be one they are also putting at risk our understanding of Armenia’s intellectuals. Intellectuals either need to it is not that person’s business to act as an intellectual and make speeches during this or that campaign, or by keeping silence it turns out that these people have nothing to do but to participate and make speeches in campaigns. These people are totally lost, and of course, they react adversely by serving their masters, i.e. they harm people whom they serve. We have witnessed and we know who are the “idlers”, what they have done, and if they were not “idlers” we would not be in this situation, and people talk about the “idlers””, he said.
