No unemployed candidates in ‘Yerkir Tsirani’s’ list

Towards the municipal elections in Yerevan, “Aravot” observed the lists of “Yelq”, “Yerkir Tsirani”, and The Republican Party, three powers participating in the elections. Most of the candidates, 195 people, are nominated by the ruling Republican Party, followed by “Yelq” bloc with 63 candidates, and “Yerkir Tsirani” with 50 candidates.

As it was mentioned earlier, the highest percentage of women are nominated by “Yerkir Tsirani” party: women comprise about 58 percent of the list. The next is the “Yelq” bloc: here women make up about 28 percent of the candidates. And the last is the RPA with 25 percent.

Once again, “Yerkir Tsirani” has the biggest number of operating candidates, where the unemployment rate is 0.24 out of the candidates nominated by the “Yelq” bloc and the RPA respectively are jobless.

“Aravot” also tried to find out the average age of the nominated candidates. So, the average age of the candidates in the “Yelq” bloc is 35, 27 candidates up to the age of 30 have been nominated. The average age of the candidates in the Republican Party is 43, 30 candidates up to the age of 30 have been nominated. And the average age of the candidates in “Yerkir Tsirani” is 47, where 8 candidates up to the age of 30 have been nominated.
