Russia and the US, that supply a certain quantity of armament to Kurds, are in favor of Kurdish factor activation in Syria, informed Arabist Gor Gevorgyan.
“For the US it is important that the Kurdish people partake in Raqqa attack, which is the center of the Islamic State. Actually, the Kurdish factor is dangerous to Turkey, not Bashar Assad’s, this is the reason why they will endeavor to oppress the Kurds by any means”, noticed the speaker. He reminded us that Turkey had bombarded some Kurdish districts in days, explaining as if the to the weaponry which the Kurds are provided with the Islamic State has an access: “With this regard, Turkey has a concern and intends not to allow the reinforcement of Kurdish factor in Syria.”
As Gor Gevorgyan stated, the tangle of the Syrian conflict is so complicated and blended that there are no grounds to speak of the settlement. As far as the Armenian community in Syria is concerned, the expert noted that the liberated Aleppo has become safer contrary to Damascus.
