Investors from Armenia and Turkey, who intend to stimulate the idea of the creation of “Hreshtak” (Angel) investor network, first met in Yerevan today.
“Hreshtak” investors are wealthy people who agree to invest in start-up projects. Tuğçe Ergül, co-founder and executive director of “Angel Labs” was among the participants. During the interview, he told that his grandmother was Armenian, but he could not communicate with her: “I did not manage to talk with her in Armenian, to listen about Armenia. She has died young.”
Referring to the meeting of Armenian and Turk investors, he stated that it is mean to develop economic relations between Armenia and Turkey: “I hope that Armenian and Turk investors will come to the common agreement, and this initiative will succeed.”
He believes that though there are no diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey, the people can cooperate: “When they will establish contacts when they exchange experience, the politics will follow them. Armenians and Turks are alike, they love each other, just they need contacts.”
