Stella Aghajanyan, Yerevan City Council candidate of “Yerkir Tsirani” party, during the press conference, has announced that she has doubt that Nikol Pashinyan is participating in Mayoral elections to help ruling Republican party of Armenia.
Arayik Harutyunyan, Yerevan City Council candidate of “Yelq” bloc, referring to that announcement said that the criticism is non-political: “There is no causal link. It is illogical, and does not expose to apolitical and political criticism”.
Mane Tandilyan, Yerevan City Council candidate of “Yelq” bloc, in response to Stella Aghajanyan’s another announcement, that Nikol Pashinyan is already member of parliament, therefore it is suspicious that he has nominated his candidacy for Mayoral elections, said: “Nikol Pashinyan is one of the important political actors, the brightest representative of “Yelq” bloc. By the same logic, Taron Margaryan is also elected member of parliament, Zaruhi Postanjyan, leader of “Yerkir Tsirani” could have been in the same position. We have already said that we are not underestimating the political component of Yerevan City Council Elections. Nikol Pashinyan will be the best counterbalance to the formed National Assembly.”
