“The liberation of Shushi is not only the military victory of our nation but also our moral one,” -said the commander and general-mayor of the joint grouping of Armenian and Russian armed forces Andranik Makaryan during the press conference, when talking about the liberation of Shushi.
He added that at time Armenia had only a territory of 29.8 square kilometers, which was also under a threat and the only thing left to do was to take a weapon and fight for it so that the policy of persecuting our nation would stop.
“One beautiful day, in this military and political condition our generations were lucky enough to have at least one historical win after all these years and start the holy process of the renovation of our motherland. And the process of the liberation of our historical Shushi became the pick of that holy deed, the pick of that victory, which was achieved due to the joint usage of the collective power of an Armenian commander, an Armenian soldier, Armenian fedayeen, an Armenian fighter and the Armenian nation.
